Has helped found numerous companies, including Nithio and Fraym, where he serves as Chairman. Currently serves as Chairman of the Development Bank of Rwanda (BRD). Previously, he was Vice President of at the African Development Bank (AfDB), where he managed one of the largest portfolios in Africa, including more than $25 billion in active projects across 52 African countries. He served as the Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for African Affairs in the White House from 2006 to 2009. He was the President's lead advisor on Africa issues as well as the President’s Africa Personal Representative (APR) to the G8.
