Previously, he co-founded Farmore Capital Group (FCG), a private investment firm. While there, he led the firm’s day-to-day activities and spent much of his time working directly with entrepreneurs to build successful companies.
In addition to angel investing and venture capital, Trevor’s professional experience ranges from developing materials for biomedical implants to designing high-performance batteries for the U.S. Navy to developing systems to hinder the migration of radionuclides in groundwater at the Y-12 National Security Complex. Before co-founding FCG, Trevor was the principal engineer in the Technology Development Division of Kurion Inc, a venture-backed startup company. Here he was primarily focused on radioactive wastewater treatment efforts at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. Trevor holds patents for making carbon nanopipes and ductwork with nanomeric walls and separating radionuclides with submersible filters.
Trevor frequently serves as an instructor, mentor, and judge for a variety of institutions including the Department of Energy, Stanford University, and MIT. He completed a postgraduate research appointment at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and holds a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Clemson University and a B.A. in Chemistry from Alfred University.
