I'm a computer engineer and an entrepreneur focused on AI. I have founded four companies with exits to Microsoft, Yahoo! and TD Bank. I am currently working on bringing AI to healthcare with Signal 1. I'm a founder of Layer 6, an AI company that twice won the ACM RecSys Challenge with its enterprise prediction engine. While at Yahoo! and Microsoft Bing, I built the web search ranking engine, which was regarded as the largest machine learning application in 2011. In addition to co-founding the Vector Institute – a world-leading academic research institute for deep learning, I am also a founding Fellow at the Creative Destruction Lab, the world's largest AI venture accelerator. And last, I'm a founder and partner at Radical Ventures, the leading AI-focused venture fund.
