In 2004, Tod co-founded Shasta Ventures to build a venture firm focused on serving the entrepreneur and a desire to back founders who leverage technology innovation to improve consumer experiences. He has backed companies such as Canva, Mint, Zwift, Tonal, Maurten, Glint, Class Dojo, Doctor on Demand and Stance. Prior to Shasta, Tod was a general partner at Trinity Ventures and began his career in consumer brand management at Johnson & Johnson. While not leading new investments in the new fund at Shasta, Tod continues to oversee existing portfolio companies and help manage prior Shasta funds.
