Matt Murphy joined Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers in 1999 where he focuses on multi-stage investments across mobile and cloud infrastructure technologies. Matt is either a Director or works closely with the management teams of AppDynamics, Drawbridge, Egnyte, Insidesales.com, InstartLogic, PernixData, Puppet Labs, SessionM, Shazam, andSimplivity. Previously, Matt was a Board Observer at Google (from initial investment to IPO), launched the iFund in ’08 (a collaborative initiative with Apple to build the defining applications on the iOS platform), and led KPCB’s investments in AutoNavi (Nasdaq: AMAP, 2010) and Aerohive Networks (Nasdaq: HIVE, 2014). Matt also served as a Director at Shopkick (acquired by SK Planet 2014), Pelago (acquired by Groupon in 2011), Ocarina Networks (acquired by Dell in 2010), Dash Navigation (acquired by RIM in 2009) and Peakstream (acquired by Google in 2008).
