Dan joined Two Sigma Ventures in 2015 and focuses his time investing in data-driven enterprise and consumer startups. Before joining Two Sigma, Dan was an entrepreneur as well as an investor in areas such as data science, healthcare IT, and IoT. Previously, Dan co-founded SpeedDate (acquired by IAC), a live-video online dating service that used real-time matching algorithms to connect its 23 million members. Dan is very familiar with the roller coaster ride that most founders experience during their startup journeys. Earlier in his career, worked at IBM, Lazard’s Technology M&A Group, and briefly at the World Bank in the Philippines researching investments in both technology and bamboo processing. Dan started his career as founder of the Campus Pages, a phone directory publishing business.
