Before becoming an angel investor, Lachy was an early Stripe employee (#30), joining the company right out of high school. Ultimately became Head of Stripe Issuing, and previously led several product teams responsible for Stripe’s core payments, global expansion, and enterprise users as well as Stripe’s global business development and operations teams.

Avichal Garg’s tour through tech began at Google, and he landed at Facebook in 2012 after the social-media giant bought Spool, his mobile bookmarking startup. At Facebook, he led product management for a 400-engineer team. His investing career involved a brief stint at Y Combinator, after which he struck out on his own to build Electric Capital, a firm that invests across fintech and crypto. He’s now among the beneficiaries of a wave of capital pouring into Web3 — a catchall term for crypto, blockchain, and metaverse companies — with two newly closed funds worth $1 billion.

Sriram invests in early-stage consumer startups. Prior to joining a16z, Sriram held numerous senior product roles. Most recently, he led core consumer teams at Twitter where he was responsible for products including the home timeline, new user experience, search, discovery, and audience growth. Before this, Sriram created and oversaw various mobile ad products for both Snap and Facebook, including Snap’s Direct Response ads business and the Facebook Audience Network, one of the largest networks in display advertising.  Sriram writes actively at @sriramk on Twitter and at sriramk.com. Josh Coyne joined Kleiner Perkins in 2017 and focuses on investments in enterprise software and financial services. Prior to joining Kleiner Perkins, Josh was at Qatalyst Partners, where he helped advise on multi-billion dollar acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and financings across a variety of technology sectors. Originally from Cleveland, Josh graduated summa cum laude from Boston College with a degree in Computer Science and Finance. Outside of work, Josh loves playing music, competing in triathlons, and nerding out on nutrition/health.

He joined Kleiner Perkins in 2017 after splitting away from Social Capital, a firm he founded alongside Chamath Palihapitiya and Ted Maidenberg. Hamid sits on the board of Figma, Rippling and Netskope, all of which raised new funding rounds at multi-billion-dollar valuations in 2021. He was also an early investor in Slack, which went public in 2019 before being sold to Salesforce for $27.7 billion in 2021.

Ajay came to IVP from Dropbox, where he guided the company through its IPO and first several years as a public company. As a first-time CFO, he stepped into a leadership role early in his career, and learned firsthand how to build, support and inspire a high-performing team.

As an investor, Ajay is always on the lookout for companies that are solving big problems in market categories on the precipice of disruptive change. He is also focused on helping IVP build platform capabilities closely attuned to the needs of our founders.
