Tim Schumacher is a Managing General Partner at World Fund. Tim previously worked at Sedo.com as a Member Board Of Directors. He attended University of Cologne and Stockholm School of Economics. Tim Schumacher Co-Founded and was the longtime CEO of the publicly traded company Sedo AG, which currently has revenues of 130m euros per year andmaintains approximately 350 employees. Since 2012 he has dedicated his professional career to the German startup scene, acting both as a business angel and mentor for young companies with economic potential. His current startups, among many others, are Eyeo/Adblock Plus, Aklamio, Hitfox and Ecosia.

Prior to becoming an investor, Tim began as a pulmonary and critical care physician, and was the president and chief executive officer of CuraGen, a publicly traded biopharmaceutical company focused on oncology. Tim earned his medical degree from the University of Connecticut and has a B.A. in chemistry from Amherst College.

He joined Active Impact as a Partner in early 2018 shortly after it was founded and provides his expertise on evaluating portfolio opportunities, legal matters, raising capital and anything else that can increase impact in the portfolio and financial returns for investors.

A William & Mary Alum, Tom went on to receive his MBA from UAB. Tom worked at Carolinas Heart Institute for a number of years before starting Decision Support Systems, a software company supporting the development, implementation and automation of clinical pathing methodologies in healthcare organizations, before selling the company to Cortex in 1998.  Tom went on to work for Medcath as a division president and then Novarus Healthcare as a managing Principal before joining FCA.

Just before joining 500, Tony was the COO at Color, the leader in digital health applying software and machine learning to deliver precision health to large populations.

Tripp Shriner co-leads Point72 Ventures’ investment activities in fintech. He oversees the team’s investment professionals and works closely with portfolio companies building the next generation of fintech.  Tripp joined Point72 from City Light Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm, where he was a principal. Prior to joining Felicis, Victoria was Chief Revenue Officer of Kabbage, Inc (acquired by American Express).

As the founding investor of a16z’s Bio Fund, Vijay leads the firm’s investments at the cross section of biology and computer science, including applications in computation, machine learning, and artificial intelligence in healthcare; digital therapeutics; diagnostics; and other novel transformative scientific advances applied to industry that take bio beyond healthcare.

Experienced operator and investor. Prior to A-star, Vikram was an early-stage investor at First Round Capital and a product manager at various companies.

Villi Iltchev joined Two Sigma Ventures in 2019 and focuses on SaaS, enterprise software, developer tools, and mobile applications. Before joining Two Sigma Ventures, Villi was a General Partner at August Capital from 2016 to 2019, where he led the investments of and served on the board of Gitlab, SendBird, Workona, HiHello, and FactoryFour. Prior to joining August, he was a member of the leadership teams at Box and Lifelock, where he held various operating roles and was primarily responsible for strategy. Previously, Villi was a Vice President at Salesforce, where he led the investments and acquisitions team, making strategic investments in over 30+ leading software companies such as Hubspot, Box, Gusto, Anaplan, Mulesoft, Adaptive Insights, Zapier, and many others. Prior to Salesforce, Villi was a member of the Corporate Development team at Hewlett-Packard and started his career as a technology investment banker at Merrill Lynch.

Vineet executes investments at Antler India and helps raise capital for Antler India Fund. In his last stint, he was a core member of the Strategy division at Ola and was involved in multiple fundraises ($500m+) and M&A activity across Ola Group. Previously, he was at Goldman Sachs (Investment Banking) where he worked on deals worth $40bn+. Vineet is a 2x founder, and founded Motorhood (a vehicle maintenance startup) & BluGanesha Airwaves (a proximity marketing venture).

Prior to joining a16z, Vineeta held many different roles in the healthcare space: as a physician taking care of patients; as an operator at healthtech startups; and as a venture investor on the Google Ventures life sciences team. She was an early data scientist at Kyruus; a management consultant for biotech, pharmaceutical, and medical device clients at McKinsey & Co; and a Director of Product Management at Flatiron Health.

As an entrepreneur-turned-investor, Vinnie had experience building companies but not venture capital something he saw as an advantage as not many investors had the Silicon Valley startup experience. Golden Gate Ventures has since become not only a job to Vinnie but a hobby: when he’s not doing at work, he’s trying to zone out and just enjoy the calm and peace in the moment.
