After the dot-com bubble burst, Pat and his team persevered through years of economic downturn before creating Webmail.us, a B2B SaaS company that was recognized as one of the fastest growing private companies in America by Inc. Magazine after raising just $500k in outside capital. In 2007, Webmail was acquired by Rackspace where Pat worked as an executive on the senior leadership for six years, helping Rackspace scale to $1.5 billion in annual recurring revenue. 

Pat Muoio is featured as one of the General Partners at SineWave Ventures.  She is an expert in matters of cybersecurity and computing, vetting the technical viability of emerging technologies.  She had a 30-year career in the Intelligence Community in a variety of technical and leadership positions. She retired from the position of Chief of NSA’s Trusted System Group, a job which required strategic research planning and the management of dollar and personnel investments. She currently consults on matters of cybersecurity and computing and serves as a Venture Partner in Sinewave Ventures, vetting the technical viability of emerging technologies of possible value to the government.

Pat joined CircleUp in 2013 and has held several investing and operating roles including part of the founding CircleUp Growth Partners team. Prior to joining CircleUp, Pat was an investor at Mainsail Partners a $1B+ AUM private equity firm where he focused on growth equity investments in e-commerce and software businesses.

Patty Wexler is co-founder and Managing Director of Starlight Ventures. Previously she ran the family office for the McNamee family, and before that was a Principal at Elevation Partners. Prior to joining Elevation Partners in 2005, Patty was a Manager in the Strategic Planning group at The Walt Disney Company. Previously, Patty worked ininvestment banking as a senior analyst at DLJ, and served as an associate for the Boston Consulting Group. Patty graduated cum laude from Simon Bolivar University with an M.S. in Manufacturing Engineering, and she received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, where she was a Baker Scholar.

Patrick brings 35+ years of technology management and investment experience to BBV. He is currently or has previously served on the boards of YC Research, CITRIS, UC Berkeley College of Eng., Audience (NASDAQ:ADNC) and several venture-backed startups. Patrick previously spent 26 years in CTO and sr. exec positions at HP (NYSE:HPQ), Cadence Design (NASDAQ:CDNS) and multiple computing technology startups.

Throughout his career in software, Patrick has held operational roles in most functional areas, ranging from founder and senior executive, to sales, marketing, product management, business development, and development manager. Prior to joining TechOperators, Patrick co-founded and served as CEO of Oversight Systems for 15 years and then served on the Oversight Board of Directors for two years until the sale of the company to Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV) in 2020. 

Mr. Berns joined ARCH in 2018 as a Venture Partner and moved into a Managing Director role in 2021. He is Chairman of the board of directors of Neumora Therapeutics, Happy AI, Epirium Bio, and HI Bio. Additionally, Mr. Berns is a board member of Unity Biotechnology (UBX) and EQRx. Mr. Berns previously served on the boards of Jazz Pharmaceuticals, PLC, MC2 Therapeutics, Menlo Therapeutics, Anacor Pharmaceuticals, XenoPort, Allos Therapeutics, and Bone Care International. Mr. Berns is also the Chief Executive Officer of Neumora Therapeutics, and served as President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the board of directors at Anacor Pharmaceuticals from 2014 until its acquisition by Pfizer, Inc. in 2016. Mr. Berns served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Allos Therapeutics, Inc., a biotechnology company, from 2006 to 2012 when it was acquired by Spectrum Pharmaceuticals and was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Bone Care International, Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company, from 2002 to 2005 when it was acquired by Genzyme Corporation. Mr. Berns was a consultant to the pharmaceutical industry from July 2016 to August 2018, as well as from August 2012 to March 2014 and from July 2005 to March 2006. Prior to that, Mr. Berns was Vice President and General Manager of the Immunology, Oncology and Pain Therapeutics business unit of Abbott Laboratories from 2001 to 2002, and from 2000 to 2001, he served as Vice President, Marketing of BASF Pharmaceuticals/Knoll, when it was acquired by Abbott Laboratories in 2001. Earlier in his career, Mr. Berns held various positions, including senior management roles, at Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) from 1990 to 2000. Mr. Berns received his B.S. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin.

Paul Bragiel is a three-time entrepreneur who has started regional funds in Asia (Golden Gate Ventures), Africa and vertical funds in gaming & virtual reality. He is the founder of Bragiel Brothers, an early stage technology fund in Silicon Valley. He also sits on the advisory board of the car-sharing service Uber. Collectively he's invested in the seed rounds of over 200+ companies which includes holdings in other billion dollar companies like Unity & Zappos. In his spare time, he skis for the Colombia National Cross-Country Ski Team where he competed in the 2017 World Championships in Finland. He also served as the Team Attache for the Tonga Olympic team during the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

After spending 15 years working at the convergence of media and technology, Paul has spend the last 13 years in venture capital advising and investing in early stage entrepreneurs. He founded the Mailroom Fund in 2008 in partnership with Accel and Venrock and then went on to join Greycroft Partners in their West Coast Office in January 2011 where he continues to serve as a Venture Partner, while concurrently co-founding and serving as the Managing Director of Amplify -the leading LA-based pre-seed fund which has invested in and helped nurture 100 companies in the past 10 years. He serves on the current LA Mayor's Council for Technology and Innovation and is in his 25th year teaching a class on the Impact of Technology on Media in the Graduate School of Cinema Television at the University of Southern California.

Paul has diverse experience as an entrepreneur and venture capital investor. He was most recently Vice President of Capital Markets at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), where he managed the bulk of the State’s $2 billion 21st Century Jobs Fund, including the $150 million 21st Century Commercialization Competition, which invests directly in early-stage companies, and the $109 million 21st Century Investment Fund, which invests in venture capital and private equity firms. Paul was also co-founder of Front Door Insights, a mobile technology company that was acquired in May 2013 by Mobivity.

Dr. Conley leads new investments for the firm while serving as an active Director on many of Paladin’s portfolio company Boards. Paul joined the Paladin team after more than 15 years of previous R&D and entrepreneurial experience. As founding CEO of BrightScale, he led the commercialization of a patented multi-core microprocessor technology in the HDTV market. As founding CEO of Appfluent Technology, he led the commercialization of patented in-memory distributed database technologies in the enterprise IT market.

Paul Graham is the author of On Lisp (1993), ANSI Common Lisp (1995), and Hackers & Painters (2004). In 1995, he and Robert Morris started Viaweb, the first SaaS company, which in 1998 became Yahoo Store. Dr. Paul Judge is a technology entrepreneur and investor. He is Managing Partner at Panoramic Ventures. He was the cofounder of Luma Home, a consumer WiFi company. From 2009-2014 he was Chief Research Officer and VP at Barracuda Networks. In 2007 he founded Purewire and served as Chief Technology Officer until Purewire was acquired by Barracuda Networks in 2009. I started my career on Wall Street as the Internet we know today was taking shape. Just a few years later, I had the opportunity to join Morgan Stanley’s Menlo Park office and thrived there for 22 years, including six years running the bank’s global internet and software business and six years leading the West Coast team. Some prior career achievements I expect to build on include helping Spotify create the modern day direct listing and inventing with General Catalyst the first Stakeholder Aligned Initial Listing (SAIL) vehicle. The SAIL is a SPAC structure that aims to align with all stakeholders.

Prior to the Telluride Foundation, Major worked as the Director of Business Development for Booth Creek Ski Holdings six resorts. Major's ski industry experience began in 1984 with the U.S. Ski Team in Park City, UT. I am a General Partner at Playground Global. I believe the computing revolution—and arguably even the industrial revolution—haven’t happened yet. I am drawn to the toughest challenges at the boundaries of deep tech and hard science. I have been writing software since I was a teenager. At 19, my first security program caught the attention of the NSA. From my first company, Rocket Science Games, I've had an adventurous career in technology from creating the first widely used video codec in the early 90s, building the world’s most popular IPTV platform at Microsoft, cloud intelligence for automotive at CloudCar and now quantum and optical computing, robotics and artificial intelligence at Playground. I hold over 100 patents.

In addition to his work at GC, Peter also co-founded & manages Rough Draft Ventures: a program to support technology entrepreneurship on university campuses. During his tenure at Fox and News Corp, Peter oversaw Fox Filmed Entertainment as the #1 studio and greenlit the two highest grossing films of all time – Titanic and Avatar. Notable television hits during Peter’s tenure as CEO of Fox Group include 24, Modern Family, and Glee, which helped 20th Century Fox Television achieve the #1 ranking in television production. He also established Fox Network as the #1 broadcast network across nearly all demos with iconic series including The Simpsons and American Idol. Peter was responsible for launching 15+ cable networks domestically, most notably FX and Fox Sports nets. He also launched 150+ international channels and oversaw the growth of the largest MVPD in the world with Star, Sky, Sky Italia, and DirecTV. With Fox as a co-owner, Peter also launched Hulu.

Peter Goldberg is the founder of PLG Ventures based in Santa Monica.  Since 2015, Peter has been one of the most active early stage investors in SoCal. In addition, he can been seen regularly as the host of the #1 digital business show Entrepreneur Elevator Pitch. Prior to PLG, Peter held various executive positions in the banking industry including being the president and CEO of AmTrust Bank and its holding company which included the insurance and securities/brokerage divisions.

Peter also acts as Venture Partner at Accelerace the leading startup accelerator in the Nordics. Previously Peter kick-started the development of Techstars (mostly) virtual accelerator Techstars Anywhere, which has become one of the most sought-after acceleration programs globally. Prior to that Peter helped build from scratch Startup Next (acquired by Techstars), a top pre-accelerator with 40 acceleration programs a year running across the world, impacting the lives of over 1000 entrepreneurs.

Peter has been working in the venture capital industry since 1995. Peter’s current investments include 99Bill, BloomReach, CoalTek, Five Stars, Leyden Energy, LS9, MyBuys, Nest, QuantumScape, Skyfire and Stion. Prior to Lightspeed, Peter worked in business development and product marketing at General Magic, a startup that before the emergence of the Web, pioneered the development of e-commerce and electronic media services by partnering with the world’s largest telecommunications service providers and consumer electronics companies. He also managed Acer’s portable PC business in North America, where he launched the company’s first laptop PCs. Before Acer, Peter was a strategy consultant at Bain & Company and worked predominately with high-technology clients on product, sales and distribution strategies.

Prior to founding 4DX Ventures, Peter spent more than half a decade at Bridgewater Associates, where he was focused on Global Macro investing strategies, portfolio construction, and understanding Emerging Markets economies. In addition to Bridgewater, he was an investor at a leading NYC-based family office focused on direct investing through Long / Short equity value strategies, an operator at a venture-backed blockchain startup in Palo Alto, and an investment banker at JPMorgan Chase covering consumer, healthcare, and retail companies. His investing skills became what they are by working across a wide range of asset classes and strategies, and he’s developed expertise in building first principles investing frameworks and discovering value in unconventional places.

Mr. Roshko has over thirty-seven years of venture capital and investing expertise focused on early-stage information technology companies.

Prior to joining Boulder Ventures in late 1998, Mr. Roshko ran a technology hedge fund, Granite Investments, which focused on fundamental analysis and a value-oriented approach to public market technology investing.

Beginning in 1984, Mr. Roshko was a General Partner at Mohr Davidow Ventures (MDV) where he concentrated in software, medical devices and service.

Prior to joining MDV, Mr. Roshko was a Senior Consultant with Arthur Andersen & Co. in San Francisco where he planned, designed and implemented management information systems for a variety of client engagements.

Peter is a CEO with a successful track record of growing innovative software and service businesses in the education, human capital management, and healthcare industries. Prior to his role as Managing Director at Insight Partners, Peter led one of Insight’s portfolio company investments, serving as CEO and President of HealthcareSource, a high-growth, leading provider of talent management software to hospitals and other healthcare providers. Peter is an expert at building SaaS businesses, and is passionate about growing companies with positive, team-oriented cultures that create meaningful value for all stakeholders: customers, employees, partners, and investors.  In his role as Managing Director at Insight, Peter evaluates potential investments with the investment team, and serves as mentor and executive coach to Executive teams.

Peter is an investor focused on advanced aerial mobility and its application toward positive impact for transportation across the economy. In this capacity, he is active in the aviation community around regulatory and technology issues critical to enabling high-scale adoption of aerial mobility systems.

Peter co-authored a national strategy for Advanced Aerial Mobility as a member of the Committee on Urban Air Mobility Research and Technology through the Aeronautics and Space Engineering Board of the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine. He is a standing member of the Transportation Research Board’s New Users of Shared Airspace Committee. He is also an appointee to NASA’s Aeronautics Research and Technology Roundtable and is involved in the FAA’s Unmanned Aerial System Integration Pilot Program.

Earlier, Peter was at Firelake Capital and Atlas Venture, investing in transportation and sustainability technologies.

Peter started flying when he was 19 and actively maintains a Private Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating.

Peter currently serves on the board of directors at Fenergo, Duco, LeaseAccelerator, Kira Systems, Augury, ComplianceQuest, Planview, Hivebrite, Aquant, and NYMBUS.  Peter is a well-known executive in the software industry and regularly speaks on industry panels.  He served as Chairman of Greenfield Online (NASDAQ: SRVY) for six years, including three years as a public company.

Pete joined NEA in 2005 and focuses on early-stage enterprise software, services, and systems companies. He is the co-head of NEA’s enterprise software practice group, and serves on several boards for NEA portfolio companies. Prior to NEA, Pete was Senior Director of Strategic Alliances at VMware where he struck the company's initial OEM deals and grew annual sales through OEMs from $0 to $40 million in four years. Pete received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and his BA in Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley.

Peter previously worked with McKinsey and Company, and began his career as a physicist working in nuclear fusion research and aerospace.

A respected and prolific technology sector investor in the Nordic region, Peter has 20+ years’ experience in strategic management, growth and multiple exits of technology start-ups. His involvement with board roles and on investor-level has taken him through some of the most profitable Nordic tech sector exits in the last decades. Peter has also been engaged in a prominent collaboration with Copenhagen Incubator, The Danish Export Council, and held a membership of an advisory board for the former Danish Prime Minister.

Before co-founding Ardent Venture Partners, Phil was the Founder/Managing Member of Summer League Ventures (SLV). Active SLV deals include Morning Consult, Ordway Labs, Gather.ai, and Anno.ai. Before SLV, Phil was a General Partner with Novak Biddle Venture Partners. Throughout his 15-year career, he led 16 investments totaling over $100 million. Following his time at Novak Biddle, Phil founded Quad Learning, a venture-backed startup acquired by Wellspring Higher Education. He also served as a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Co. and worked as a Software Engineer at IBM. Phil earned a B.S. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Law, and an MBA from the Wharton School.

He was also previously founder of the HTC Vive and also founding Managing Partner at Presence Capital, the leading XR and Computer Vision seed fund that invested in companies like the Wave, Strivr, Tripp, Escher Reality (exited to Niantic), and Blue Vision (exited to Lyft). Phil’s track record in hardware is prescient where he led the 300M acquisition of Beats Electronics in 2011 and as a product manager launched the world’s first Android phone in 2009. From 2015-2018, Phil was an advisor at Horizons Ventures, Li Ka-Shing’s venture fund, leading the deep tech portfolio where he served as a board director for over fifteen companies globally including Improbable, Soul Machines, Kneron, Scopely, Sentient, Fano Labs, Amper and 88Rising. His entrepreneurial story has been documented in best-selling books by Blake Harris’ The History of the Future and David Rowan’s Non-Bullshit Innovation.

Prior to co-founding Ardent Venture Partners, Phil was the Founder/Managing Member of Avonlea Capital, a venture capital firm focused primarily on high-potential internet, media, mobile, and technology companies. Prior to Avonlea Capital, Phil was the Co-Managing General Partner of Columbia Capital, a venture capital/private equity firm focused on Communications, Media, and Technology. Phil joined Columbia Capital in 1992, leading the firm’s development, growth, and transition into a premier institutional investor-backed investment firm. Phil also served as CFO of Telular Corporation leading the company through an Initial Public Offering. Phil received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia in 1985 and his MBA from Kenan-Flager Business School at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 1992. Phil and Lisa have four daughters, two granddaughters, two sons-in-law, and one dog.

Previously, Philip was Co-Founder and CEO of PAX Pure, an industrial water treatment company that developed a unique thermal water treatment technology focused on purification of industrial wastewaters.

Philip is an experienced investor and advisor in industrial resource management, water technology, and energy. Originally from Montana, Philip’s experience includes wind energy development, environmental non-profits, land management, as well as angel investing. He is focused on the promotion and adoption of technologies that improve resource use, an interest that started as an early member of The Biomimicry Institute.
