Francis Berwa is a managing partner at Aves Lair

Francisco started his career in consulting with Latmedical. After his MBA, he spent 5 years at JPMorgan Asset Management were he directly managed multi-asset portfolios for Latin American investors (+$2bn AUM). Francisco later worked for real estate private equity firm Tishman Speyer and NY-based WeWork structuring commercial real estate transactions (>$500m).

Frank Bonsal III is a pioneer in the fields of education innovation, technology, and investment and has demonstrated sustained empathy for the education end user. As Managing Partner of Bonsal Capital and former General Partner of New Markets Venture Partners, his direct investment experience includes over 30 education companies, more than two-thirds of which have been realized with tens of millions positively impacted; Bonsal is or was a board director or observer in over a dozen of these companies.

Frank Mendicino III co-founded Access Venture Partners in 1999.

Through his work with early stage companies, Frank has built a large network of deal referral sources and value added resources for portfolio companies. Frank was a founding board member of The Contra Costa County Incubator in San Francisco. He is a former board member of the Rocky Mountain Venture Capital Association. Frank has a deep understanding of product development and sales and marketing processes which allows him to help entrepreneurial management teams accelerate the growth of the companies in which Access Venture Partners invests.

Prior to co-founding Access Venture Partners, Frank worked for Woodside Fund, a Silicon Valley venture fund, for 10 years where he helped build and exit a successful portfolio of 29 early stage companies.

Fred Ehrsam is co-founder of Coinbase. He's been named to both Forbes 30 Under 30 and TIME Magazine's 30 Under 30 Who Are Changing the World. Previously, he was a foreign exchange trader at Goldman Sachs in New York where he traded and managed Goldman’s electronic market making platform. Fred has also analyzed portfolios at BlackRock,the largest asset manager in the world and worked in nanostructures research. He holds a BS in Computer Science and Economics with honors and distinction from Duke University.

Fred has been a venture capitalist since 1987. He currently is a partner at Union Square Ventures and also founded Flatiron Partners.

Fredrik Cassel has led the work with several industry-defining companies. He led the first round of funding in among others Spotify, KRY, Xeneta, Soundtrack Your Brand, Cint and Videoplaza. He oversees Creandum's work with several other landmark consumer-facing services such as depop, Kahoot! and Virta Health.

Fridtjof was previously in McKinsey & Company, where he focused his work on the energy, retail, consumer goods and financial services industries across Northern and Central Europe.  He has been part of scaling up startups in the Nordic region, including WhyNot a leading shoe distributor company in the region, and Legevisitt a leading medtech company. He is a Forbes 30 Under 30 honouree in Finance & Venture Capital, and he obtained his MBA from Harvard Business School.

I like to work with founders that are solving genuine pain points. Something they felt personally or seen up close. Entrepreneurship is hard and there will be many dark moments. It’s the grit that comes from the passion to solve the pain point and the conviction in your solution that will help you stay the course! I like founders with clarity of thought and focus. It’s easy to get tempted to build everything but you are likely to travel farther as a spear vs a sphere for the same energy expended. I am delighted when I see founders on a steep learning curve and a growth mindset. Lastly and importantly, we all know there is a founder market fit, but I also believe in the founder-investor fit. I prefer to work with reasonable people. If you and I can’t have a relationship of high trust, we will never find a way to build something magical together. He has led many notable investments, including Moloco, Inc., currently valued at over USD $1.5 billion. He started his career as a consultant at Accenture Strategy, founded a WiseBros&Company, a B2B SaaS company to help universities restructure, worked at Rakuten CEO's Innovation Office helping the Japanese company expand into global markets, and led Bravestone Venture Partners where he made notable investments including seed investment in ImpriMed in the U.S.

Gabriel Kra co-founded Prelude Ventures in 2013, after almost 25 years as an investor, entrepreneur, scientist, activist, and ski-bum. Before launching Prelude Ventures, Gabriel spent four years as an investment banker with Deutsche Bank in its solar and semiconductor groups. He also was an early employee at venture-backed telecommunications and semiconductor start-ups, where he was instrumental in raising money, launching products, developing technology and getting acquired. Gabriel’s early experience working a summer at Yellowstone National Park and for Greenpeace sparked his lifelong commitment to fighting climate change.

Gadi has over 20 years of experience in the Hi-Tech industry, in management positions delivering products to global markets. A partner at JVP, Gadi heads JVP’s Cyber Labs, which aims to identify, nurture and build the next wave of cyber security and big data companies to emerge out of Israel. Gadi sits on the board of several of JVP’s companies including Teridion, Iguaz.Io, Vicarius, Valid, Compira Labs, Copilot, Datarix, and Cyberfish. George Easley has worked in financial services since his graduation from college. He comes to Outsiders Fund from ICONIQ Capital a multi-family office, tech growth equity, and real estate firm based in San Francisco. George holds degrees in History and International Development from Dartmouth College, where he also owned, operated, and sold a mattress rental business catering to students.

Gil Beyda is a seasoned entrepreneur & technologist turned venture capitalist. Gil launched his first company Mind Games in 1982 to develop games for the original Apple II. Gil then started a software consulting firm with Fortune 100 clients in the U.S., Asia and Europe. In 1995, Gil helped pioneer Internet advertising by founding Real Media, the first online ad network and ad server company. Gil continues to manage and invest in seed-stage companies via Genacast Ventures.

Before launching TechOperators in 2008, Glenn was CEO of VistaScape Security Systems, a venture-backed provider of enterprise intelligent video surveillance software. He led the company through its successful sale to Siemens Building Technologies. Previously, Glenn was a co-founder and senior executive of Atlanta-based Internet Security Systems (ISS), where he helped raise initial venture capital and launch the business. Graham Spencer is a general partner at GV and has been with the firm since its inception. Greg was Tesla’s executive leader of global manufacturing, factory/automation engineering, supply chain, and product excellence. While at Tesla, he led growth from low-volume Roadster production to the fully integrated manufacturing of the Model S and X and a revenue run rate exceeding $8B. Prior to Tesla, Greg was the Senior Vice President of Operations at SunPower and led the growth of manufacturing operations from pilot scale to more than $2B in annual revenue. In this role, he was responsible for the rapid implementation and growth of advanced silicon, cell, and panel manufacturing operations globally. Earlier in his career, Greg held various roles in manufacturing and quality in the semiconductor industry.

Greg also served as Manager of Business Development at Cisco where he architected a global channel management plan.
