Prior to founding 5AM in 2002, Mr. Schwab was a Principal at Bay City Capital where he was involved with companies such as Cubist, PTC Therapeutics and Syrrx. Previously Mr. Schwab was Vice President of Business Development at Digital Gene Technologies and a Vice President in the life science investment banking group of Montgomery Securities.

As an engineer who got his start in the MIT Media Lab, Andy Wheeler specializes in helping early-stage companies build technologies from concept to commercial launch. He leads GV’s investments in frontier technology and has backed breakthrough companies across manufacturing, agriculture, robotics, logistics, and food. Before joining GV in 2012, Andy served as the Chief Technology Officer for two companies in the smart energy space, Tendril Networks and Adura. He also co-founded Ember Corporation, which made software and chips for wireless mesh networks used in millions of smart meters worldwide. Andy says that his journey as a founder taught him about the conviction to take smart risks. “I learned to value long-term relationships and to find investors with patient time horizons so I could thoughtfully build the company.” He was selected for the Technology Review 100 Top Innovators Under 35 award and holds multiple patents in wireless networking and energy management.

Angela Strange is a general partner at Andreessen Horowitz where she focuses on financial services including fintech infrastructure, insurance, real estate, and increasing financial inclusivity Prior to joining a16z, Angela was a product manager at Google where she launched and grew Chrome for Android and Chrome for iOS into two of Google's most successful mobile products. She has also served as director of product management and business development at Ruba.com (acquired by Google), a senior associate partner at Bay Partners focusing on the consumer internet sector, and a consultant at Mercer Management Consulting in Toronto. Angela helped launch and was co-chair of C100, a non-profit that bridges Canadian entrepreneurs with Silicon Valley, and on the Canadian Finance Minister Morneau's Economic Growth Council. She earned her Mechanical Engineering degree from Queen's University in Canada and an MBA from Stanford.

Angus Davis has been an active entrepreneur, executive, and investor in the internet industry since its commercialization. Angus co-founded Tellme Networks, to bring the power of the internet to the phone. BusinessWeek named Angus one of the “Top Ten Entrepreneurs Under Age 30.” In 2009, he founded Upserve, which as CEO he grew to become one of the largest cloud-based point-of-sale platforms for full-service restaurants in the U.S., with over 10,000 restaurant customers and a payments platform processing over $12 billion in annual volume. Forbes named Angus one of “America’s most promising CEOs” and the company was recognized as the “Best Place to Work” for six years running under his leadership. Angus is involved in a number of philanthropic efforts, having helped establish Rhode Island’s first Teach for America corps, as well as helping to open several top-performing public charter schools serving low-income kids.

Anik Bose has 15 years of active venture capital and corporate development experience, with particular emphasis on transaction structuring and strategic planning, including 7 years as SVP, Corporate Development at 3Com Corporation, and 10 years as General Partner at BGV. In his role as SVP, Corporate Development at 3Com he played a significant role in company strategy, managed a $250MM corporate venture fund and a team of 20 investment and business development professionals, spearheaded 20 venture capital investments and executed numerous spin out transactions as well as several large M&A transactions totaling over $1.4Bn in value. His venture investments on behalf of 3Com Ventures (3CV) include – Mesh Networks, Parthus, Cicada Semiconductor, Microtune, ADMTek, Atrica, Intransa, Sheer Networks, Air Prime, Yipes, Silicon Wave and Healthetec.

Anika focuses on leveraged buyouts and majority recapitalizations of application and infrastructure software companies. Anna Khan focuses on enterprise software, SaaS, cloud and mobile, and has made investments in Workstream and Storyboard. Before joining the firm in 2019, Anna was a Vice President at Bessemer Venture Partners and a Forbes 30 under 30 Venture Capital Awardee. While at Bessemer, she sourced several breakout startups including Intercom, NewVoiceMedia (acquired by Vonage), and ScaleFactor, where she was a board director. Before Bessemer, Anna was a Business Associate to the CEO/Chief of Staff at 4INFO, a mobile advertising platform. She co-founded and served as Director of Strategy and Corporate Development at Palindrome Advisors, a nonprofit advisory firm focused on board matching, startup mentorship and nonprofit education for executives. While at Palindrome, Anna led the prioritization of potential initiatives by assessing impact and cost implications.

Anthony Pompliano is a Product Manager at Facebook. Previously, Pompliano successfully founded and sold two software companies in Raleigh, NC. Anu leads Correlation's analytics team, and has been developing and delivering commercial applications of predictive analytics for over 25 years. At HNC Software, he co-developed the Falcon credit card fraud detection system that currently protects over 60% of credit card transactions in real time worldwide–a groundbreaking product that fueled HNC’s IPO. In 2000, Anu co-founded Burning Glass technologies, applying predictive analytics to human capital management. He went on to launch FICO’s India operation in the early 2000s, before taking over their Healthcare & Insurance Analytics business unit.

Arjuna Costa is driven by a deep compassion for vulnerable populations across the globe, and partners with entrepreneurs using innovative technologies to enhance their customers’ financial well-being. Before Flourish, Arjuna was a partner at Omidyar Network, where he built a global portfolio of early-stage, inclusive fintech companies. Arra leads Craft's investments in SaaS and marketplace companies. Prior to Craft, she was head of operations and strategy at BuildZoom (YC), a marketplace connecting homeowners with the most reliable contractors in their area. She was an early employee and managed business operations, finance, strategic partnerships, and customer success teams across the company’s three global offices in the US and the Philippines. She also executed data licensing partnerships with companies in various market segments such as insurance, real estate, and financial services as part of a new revenue channel for the company. Arra began her career at J.P. Morgan in investment banking.

Arthur is a Partner at First In focused on defense tech and dual-use technology. Prior to First In, Arthur co-founded Seashell and was a senior corporate development executive at Anduril, a venture-backed defense technology company providing the U.S. and its allies advanced AI and autonomous systems. Previously, Arthur was an early employee and executive with FiscalNote, an information services technology company that he helped grow from $0 to over $75mm in revenue.

Arthur began his career in private practice at a major corporate law firm. He then became a United States Marine Corps officer during the Global War on Terror. Arthur Patterson founded Accel with Jim Swartz in 1983. As the lead investor, Arthur has helped management teams develop companies into market-defining leaders for over four decades. Prior to co-founding Accel, Arthur was a General Partner of Adler & Company. His career in venture capital began at Citicorp Venture Capital. Arun Kumar is Managing Partner at Celesta. He most recently served as the Chairman and CEO of KPMG in India, an organization consisting of several thousand professionals engaged in providing assurance, tax, and advisory services. He was a member of the global board of directors of KPMG, as well as its EMA board. He also previously served in President Obama’s Administration as Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Global Markets and Director General of the U.S. & Foreign Commercial Service (USFCS), under the leadership of Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker. As the Administration’s lead official to promote U.S. exports, foreign direct investment, and enhanced market access around the world, he led a team of 1,700 professionals in 78 countries and all 50 United States.

Ashok is a serial entrepreneur and investor focused on enterprise IT, and the intersection of computer science and life sciences. He also holds more than 20 patents in his name. Most recently he founded two medical related companies: CAPP Medical, a liquid biopsy company for cancer diagnosis that he sold to Roche Diagnostics, and CiberMed, which focuses on biomarker discovery. Previously he founded Xsigo, a provider of advanced data center connectivity, which he sold to Oracle. Prior to Xsigo, Ashok was one of the early leaders of Juniper Networks where he helped develop many of the products that power today’s internet, and which was one of the largest venture investment returns of all time. Ashok has also been an investor in a number of innovative companies like GoEuro, Reflektion, OttoQ, Veradocs, Falcon Systems, Robin Systems, and ScoreData, amongst others.
